What UploadToLink Does

UploadToLink turns files, text notes, and saved source links into browser-ready share pages. Upload once, copy one link, and hand it off in chats, forms, tickets, docs, or QR scans.

The service is built for everyday file handoffs—not long-term cloud drive management.

How Sharing Works

Choose file, text, or URL

Drop a file, paste from the clipboard, edit Markdown/JSON/code in the text tab, or save a source URL from the homepage uploader.

Configure security and copy

Set a password, expiry, and download cap when needed. Pro and Plus plans can also use burn-after-read. Copy full details, link only, or show a QR code for quick access.

Recipients preview or download

Anyone with the link opens the share page in a browser. Supported formats preview inline; everything else stays available as a safe download.

Security and Access Controls

You decide how public or controlled each link should be. Do not upload sensitive content unless you are comfortable with the security settings you choose.

Optional password protection before content is shown

Custom expiry from 1 hour up to never on Pro and Plus; free accounts use fixed 24-hour retention; guest links expire within 8 hours

Download limits on signed-in shares; guests are fixed at 10 downloads per link (cannot disable)

Burn-after-read on Pro and Plus for one-time handoffs

Access counts and link or collection management in your dashboard when signed in

Guest Sharing vs Signed-In Accounts

Guests: 1 upload/day, up to 1 MB per file, links expire within 8 hours, fixed 10 downloads per link (cannot disable)

Free signed-in: 10 uploads/day, up to 3 MB per file, fixed 24-hour retention, batch upload and collections (up to 10 collections, 10 files per batch, 50 MB total), ZIP download up to 10 files

Pro ($9.99/mo): 500 uploads/day, 50 MB files, 10 MB text, custom or permanent expiry, burn-after-read, unlimited collections, ad-free

Plus ($19.99/mo): 2,000 uploads/day, 300 MB files, 100 files per batch—see the pricing page for the full comparison
