Upload a file for a URL-only form

Some applications, vendor portals, and support forms accept a URL but not an attachment. Upload your file, check the share page, and paste the generated link where the form asks for a URL.

Three steps to submit a file link

Step 1

Choose the right file

Upload the PDF, image, document, or evidence file requested by the form.

Step 2

Check the share page

Open the link before submitting it and confirm the filename, preview, expiry, and access settings.

Step 3

Paste the URL

Copy the share link and paste it into the form field that accepts a web address.

Before you submit

  • Keep the filename clear so the recipient knows what they are opening.
  • Use a password when the file contains personal, customer, or contract data.
  • Choose an expiry period that lasts through the review window.
  • Make sure the form recipient can access the link without your account.

Common questions

Does the recipient need an UploadToLink account?

No. Recipients can open the share page without an account unless you apply an access rule that requires verification.

Can I use a password with a form submission?

Yes, but send the password through the channel requested by the recipient. A URL-only field can contain the link, not the password.

Is this long-term storage?

No. Match the expiry to the form's review period and keep the original file in your normal storage system.
